I LOVE A PARADE This Thursday Larchmont kicks-off summer with a good old-fashioned parade. Public officials, Veterans, Military Personnel, Firemen, Policemen, Bands, Bagpipers, Girl and Boy Scouts are marching from the Larchmont train station to the Larchmont Firehouse in the annual Memorial Day Parade. NEW STROKES If you’ve ever wanted to learn the graceful art of writing calligraphy, now is your chance! Calligrapher Terry Kessler Schwartz is leading a workshop at the Mamaroneck Artists’ Guild (MAG) on Sunday from 1-3 p.m. She is teaching the “Chancery Cursive” style, which flourished during the Renaissance in 15th century Italy. Art Walk Take a stroll through Larchmont this weekend and enjoy the works of 40 French artists on display in local homes. Westchester Accueil is holding its 10th annual “Promenade des Artists” on Friday (10 a.m. to 3 p.m.) and Saturday (11 a.m. to 6 p.m.). Participants may obtain a map from the Reception House at 25 Summit Avenue. A portion of the art sales are to benefit the Abraham House in the Bronx and Entraide Francaise.
