A DAY IN THE LIFE OF LARCHMONT Grab your cameras Larchmonters! The Larchmont Historical Society (LHS) is calling on you to take photos from midnight to midnight on Thursday that focus on public and domestic life in the 10538 area. Photographers may submit up to ten photos for consideration in LHS’ “A Day in the Life of Larchmont” photo exhibit. A similar exhibit was held in 1991 to mark the Village of Larchmont’s centennial. LHS archivist Lynne Crowley expects another enthusiastic response twenty years later. SHOP.LOCAL. It’s an event not to be missed. This Thursday the Junior League of Westchester on the Sound is hosting its popular Shop.Local. Fashion Show at the Larchmont Shore Club. The hottest fashions will be featured from Larchmont merchants Clutch, Designer One, E.B. Barrett, Love by Bella Fiora, Mancino Custom Tailors and Clothiers, Outerluxe, Stephanie's Kloset, The Golden Shoestring and Twinkle Toes. Larchmont Mayor Josh Mandell is leading a delegation of Sound Shore Mayors down the fashion runway. Other models include Westchester County Legislator Judy Myers and the Mamaroneck High School field hockey team. There will be hor d’oeuvres and goody bags for all attendees. TOUR DE LARCHMONT No need for yellow jerseys or a competitive spirit for this ride. The annual Tour de Larchmont is a family friendly, leisurely bike ride around the Manor. Bikers are gathering at Flint Park on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to decorate their bikes with colorful streamers and then they’re off for a ride at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to return to Flint Park for snacks, music and fun in the park. Keep your fingers crossed for sunshine. There is no rain date scheduled. More
