I LOVE A PARADE This Thursday Larchmont kicks-off summer with a good old-fashioned parade. Public officials, Veterans, Military Personnel, Firemen, Policemen, Bands, Bagpipers, Girl and Boy Scouts are marching from the Larchmont train station to the Larchmont Firehouse in the annual Memorial Day Parade. Join your neighbors on the parade route for some family fun. Parade begins promptly at 7 p.m.
FARM COMES TO YOU The Larchmont Farmers’ Market reopens at the train station this Saturday from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m.. Twenty-four vendors will be on hand to sell fresh fruits and vegetables, bread, baked goods, meat, seafood, pickles, cheese, dairy products, and wine. FOSTER MOM Liz Alfieri from Larchmont Floral Designs acted as a foster mom to Max, a large black labrador in desperate need of a home. If you’d like to act as a foster parent for a rescue dog or adopt this playful 1 and ½ year old lab, contact Pet Rescue at 914.834.6955.
BEACH BOOKS Grab a book for the beach by Friday. The Larchmont Library is closed for Memorial Day weekend (Saturday through Monday). Books may be renewed on the library website here.
