TOUR DE LARCHMONT No need for yellow jerseys or a competitive spirit for this ride. The annual Tour de Larchmont is a family friendly, leisurely bike ride around the Manor. Bikers are gathering at Flint Park on Sunday at 12:30 p.m. to decorate their bikes with colorful streamers and then they’re off for a ride at 1 p.m. Everyone is invited to return to Flint Park for snacks, music and fun in the park. Keep your fingers crossed for sunshine. There is no rain date scheduled.

MEETING The Larchmont Chamber of Commerce is holding a general meeting at The Flower Bar tomorrow (Tuesday), 6 p.m. to 9 p.m. All Larchmont business owners are welcome to attend. VOL Deputy Mayor Jaine Eney and TOM Councilwoman Nancy Seligson are speaking about issues of concern to the business district. The Chamber is providing light fare and two complimentary wine drink tickets for all attendees. RSVP to Cindy at info@larchmontchamber.com.

COFFEE BREAK Join the Larchmont Newcomers’ Club for a cup of Joe tomorrow (Tuesday) morning at 9:30 a.m. All are welcome to attend this event being held at Horseshoe Harbor Yacht Club in Manor Park. Coffee and bagels will be provided. For those of you with little ones, bring them along. A babysitter is available on site. RSVP to Leslie at leslie.feeley@yahoo.com.

TWEETUP Larchmont’s Social Media group WestchesterIRL is headed to Pelham this month to have a TweetUp at Lola’s Tea House. Join them on Wednesday, 7 p.m. to 9 p.m. @RobinColner is presenting on Twitter101. All tweeps, bloggers, and social media mavens or newbies are welcome to attend. $10 admission covers beverage and snacks. RSVP via Twitter @WestchesterIRL.

BOOK CLUB If you’re a history buff, you may be interested in this month’s Guilty Conscience Book Group discussion. The group is discussing Russell Banks’ novel Cloudsplitter, a pre-Civil War story about an abolitionist turned guerrilla fighter. Librarian Liam Hegarty leads the discussion on Thursday evening, 7 p.m. at the Larchmont Library. Copies of the book are available in the Reference Room.

THE GREAT PUMPKIN What pumpkin shortage? The annual Pumpkin Patch is underway at St. Thomas Church in Mamaroneck. There are hundreds of pumpkins from which to choose. Stop by to find the perfect Jack O’Lantern for Halloween. The Pumpkin Patch hours are weekends from noon to 5 p.m. and weekdays from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. This event runs through October 31st and is made possible by several local churches including St. John’s Church of Larchmont.
